Its odd to me how people who wheel don't realize that its a combonation of traction, gear reduction, and horsepower break things such as axles. Not nesscesarly speed. {Rolleyes}

Thats why I ordered Longs I guess I cant say 30 splines now that trail poo has the dirty 30's out!!!! lmao I just went to 5.29's and a locker finally, I had 4.10 open with 35's so it was hard to snap shit, I can put money that if I had a locker even with 35's I would have changed a birf every trip for sure. I just cant wait to blow the thing apart and put it together, I also ordered arp stud kits for the knuckles and the hubs now that I have larger tires and the longs

open in the front {Cheesy} how did you get anywere ?
okay okay j/k ya i think that is the trick to keeping front end together is leave it open , then you can't get to the hard spots to break it {Grin}

you'd be suprised where you can go open!!! brand new boggers did help a little, ask Cole Ive gone thru places that suprise people...werent you there at prairie city when Me, Cole and our buddy Dustin went thru that big pile out on the track{Confused} I mobbed right thru there the first time without stopping, the only spot at the con' I couldnt concure was the box obviously 35's are to damn small if I would have had bigger tires I would at least have given it a shot Smiley would have made a good show!!! lmao, open front gives you a challenge!!! oh well its locked now, but I do have genuine gears so I think thats my next weak link

I made it further than anyone else that weekend and snapped my driveline trying to go straight up the bitch, it was a sloppy mess there were 2 rigs locked on 38's that did not make it the same time I was going thru, one yota on full widths said he went thru earlier but idk he wasn't gonna try again so who knows....I put money on it if it wasnt a sloppy wet muddy mess there I would have been thru on the first shot, heres a pic of the second run at it, and like my drunk ass saying to zach its going thru or breaking and it ......... broke but I gave it everything them boggers had I worked every line on that thing, you heard them 4 pissed off squirrels crying from a good 1/2 mile Smathers...lol good times Image

well that must be why i dont break shit then cause i've got traction and gear reduction but NO horsepower lol , oh well saves me money on parts :thumbsup: and i get where i wanna go. im changin out the toyota axles anyways so maybe a little harder to snap a shaft then. we'll see what else breaks first

The pic was 11/29/08 just after thanksgiving, the weather was bitchin like 50/40 but there was left over water from a rain snow mix a week before, it was definatly weird weather for that time of year

You got 3" farther than me. Why? because your 3" longer than me. I had all 4 tires spining in the puddles. I dont think you would of made it if it was dry. Now that your locked up on bigger tires you will have no problem. Unless you continue to wheel at 8000 rpm

Re: The 0 Red Rider (5th Feb 09 at 6:00pm UTC)
I usually come up at least 3 inches longer thats nothing new.....lol And I had tires over the top ledge and a good foot in the air when I snapped the driveline trying to get my passanger rear out of that hole that makes a 35 look like a 31, if there were better camera men on hand it would have made a good shot they were all to drunk saying oh my god are you serious!!! Fuck it no front locker means momentum, you got to floor that shit man 55 stay alive, come on cole you know how that works out Ive seen you go up soup bowl at 8-10 mph, at least my new 1/4" wall driveshaft wont let loose this time, I'll be good the next time around 38's locker longs and skinny pedal to the floor look out!!!! I see a rear shaft or diff work being done on the trail though, hey maybe I'll buy your posi 3rd for a spare I might need that out there with my genuine gears, we'll see how they hold up!!! I just hope I can finish what I wont to on this truck before May, I dont want it to be like last summer looking at my rig half built for half the season

Dovetail and a bobb in the works still need to blow my diffs apart install everything and break the gears in!!!!! Oh yeah and dont forget moving the rear springs in, I may just say fuck it and narrow the frame in the back still have the springs under the frame and not have to worry about a 38 rubbin the frame when I flex it out!!!! I need some 2x3 or 2x4 box tube whos got some laying around they dont need{Confused} {Confused}

With all this cool shit you just bought you better walk little sluce. Now that you have gears you get to learn how to really 4wheel, not just jump shit. Not saying that is bad, its just a complete different feeling. You will be ready for the summer. I'll make sure of it. We need to get you on the trail more than the 4 times you were there last year. You need to see what Fordyce is all about. I say you have winch hill 3 if you loose the sheet metal behind the rear wheel and fawkin get it.
