good deal on a atlas (5.0 $2000.obo) but i can get my 231 built for 1100 bucks or so. what should i do...... keep saving and get the atlas and miss a few trips or build the 231 and be ready to wheel before the first trip. i have enough to build the 231 right now

Rigless but I do have a 63 caddy now!

build the 231. Do you really need the features of an atlas? Probably not.

If you build the 231, will it have 32 spline outputs front and rear? Can you clock it up above the framerails?

A 231 will still be chain driven, and unable to twin stick.

not sure about all this {Unsure} but i really just want to do a shit load of wheeling this year. and the jeep does not have coilover and all the cool shit yet so i think the 231 is going to be my best bet for now {Grin} i guess we will just have to see what instore for the heep {Grin}

save you money and get the atlas. you will be better off in the long run. if you put your money into the 231 and still break it you will be pissed.

I just ditched my 203/205 combo for a stak. the doubler just couldnt do what a stak or atlas can do.

really? twin stick, one of the strongest cases out there, multiple low ranges, and cheap to fix. what else could u ask for....

Something that is lighter and way shorter. WIth a higher input torque rating than an Atlas. Stak will also gauranty their case behind a big block. AA won't
