Well thanks guys. Throwing some paint on today and charging the coilovers, then time to flex it out and see how things work.

Re: BWITs sneak peak (19th Mar 09 at 2:35pm UTC)
Well having so many issues with the rear suspension since day 1 that was the reason i went with linking the rear first. It seemed every other trip i was breaking a spring, center pin or sheering off a 9/16 bolt on my track bar. With the weight of a dana 80 47"tires and lots of tourck, leaf springs were never going to last back there.

Here you can see how racked teh back was. Sitting about 4" higher.
Image
Cut all the leaf springs shit off and got my ride heigth. Notice how low the shackles are sitting in relation to the axel. Im estimating its about equal to a 2-3 inch lift.

Specs....
Here is a pic of the lower links(Axel tube) hahha
2.5"X500wall
Image
My uppers i build out of 2"x.500wall.
1 1/4 hiems all the way around.
Image
cut the frame off and tacked all the brackets, cycling the suspension to find out where my lowest points were going to be and get a idea on how to mount the coil overs.
Image
Pulled her out and holly shit it was sitting level with 7.5" of shaft showing just how i had set it up. I was sure i was going to have to mess with things Smiley
As far as the crossmember goes I knew there was going to be a LOT of stress do to running all this heavy running gear so gusseting was a must. I used 2'x.250wall square tube on the sides of the frame to drop the crossmember mount. Then used 1/4' plate and plated the box tubing in along with the frame. The actual crossmember is 2'X.250wall welded to one of the blue tourch brackets. From there i tied in the cage in 2 spots/frame in 2 spots to gusset the crossmember.
Image
For the upper mount the frame was completely plated then welded on the upper bracket, and then tied that into the crossmember. Smiley Smiley

Re: BWITs sneak peak (19th Mar 09 at 2:58pm UTC)
after doing this my next weak link was probably going to be the upper link mount on the axel side. It probably would of been fine like it was but I didnt want to have a single dought in my head about grabing gears. So hengle put some magic on it! Took 1/4" plate welded it to the back of the bracket heated it up and wraped it completely around the axel tube and then welded it to the other side of the bracket.
Had some extra tubing so threw that on just to tie the 2 mounts together a little more.

Should hold NOW!
I did also adjust the hiems(thanks trout for noticing that) I had way to many threads showing.
