In the back is a dana 60 4 link fox shocks and soon to be welded im runing 5.89 gears and jp eater duals with a 4 to 1 in the rear case the witdth from out side of tire to out side of tire i guestimate will be 90inches wide give or take a few

How did you move your axle forward 8 inches? Did you measure that with the spring flat or just the way it sits. Are you using Toyota rear mains? So is this a trailer queen?

The cross member was moved forward 3.5 to 4 inches and i estimate the the springs at ride hight are about 3 and a half give or take an inch. Its pushed foward a ways. No its not going to be a trailer queen it wont be totaly legal either. I am going to trailer it to the trail but i would like to drive it around town also. I have changed the leaf pack since i took those pictures. I am running toyota mains with some other helpers. I t should be done by january. And if you look real hard i have minus two reputation points so dont trip you are cooler than me lol

I know it will settle 2 to 3 inches in the front by the time im done with it and then i can bring my rear air shocks down a little so I will have 6 inches up travel and 10 inches down I am really trying to keep this thing some what streetable and that is why it is a little taller than i planed it will be a pan dragger as soon as i say fuck it and dont want to drive it on the street anymore.

The whole skid is made from nothing smaller then 1/4" steel. The welds are not ground off, just ground down. everthing has full penitration, Hengl is god
I dont plan to wheel it at all im just gunna tow it around town on the weekends! lol I wheel hard and build stuff to last all the welds i ground down were all full pen or triple pass with one route pass and two beeds from the center of the route to either side of the route im not worried about it. And that cross member is temperary. the only reason i ground down the welds was I figured the smoother the better.
I have a 3.0 with 5 fat lazy hampsters and i think one commited suicide a couple months ago. I was gunna put a 3.4 in it but i have a better plan im just tryin to work a deal out. lets just say you can do alot with an 87 turbo bell housing.

looks good a little tall for me but thats what makes your rig yours :thumbsup: the only thing I can see just to save you a headache on that crossmember out on the trail is the mounting points look a little small where the box tube attaches to the piece that bolts to the frame... gusset that eeerr something also run some SLEEVES in the box tube where you run the bolts through into the frame that will eventually crush itself and not be good expecially out on the trail...
Something like the front range fab plate would save you a couple inches getting rid of the rubber mounts underneath and moving them to the frame rails, I didnt feel like cutting my floor just yet so my case is mounted in the stock location but my case doesnt hang down much with the r10 dual adapter and the front range mount, like this![]()

Cole really would kill your cossmember out the trail though trust me...... :cry: a stocky the way it mounts would handle harder hits even though it hangs lower, just gusset up the mounting points and sleeve the mount or change out the mounting point to some plate so it cant crush and bend bolts, snap them or have em' come loose!

Just finished stabbin the cromos, warn hubs and tappin the 44 for my a.r.b line. I took a long break on this thing its time to just sack up and get it done

I have really considerd it now that I have the Dodge, but I still would need to buy a trailer. I am thinking since I am gearing strictly towards snow wheelin I might be able to get away with 42's. Trailering would be my best bet on 42's since the drive would suck, however it may still be managable to do. The only big problem I see is I cant buy a trailer untill I buy my wife a new car. I might be able to swing it if an absolutly screamin' deal came along but...

Another option is my roomates 42x 15 x15 tsl's on allied bead locks 6 on 5.5 1500.00. Im assuming your on either on a d44 or yota axles due to the 15" rims unless you have a good back space
So i finished the gears in the 70. Stole trouts truss idea and trussed it, installed the corbeaus, bought some coil overs, and put in a new fuel cell and pump. All i gotta do is finish the link mounts , plumb some fuel line, finish tube work, and adress some clearance issues.![]()
