I need help finding some demensions!!! (1st Apr 11 at 9:39pm UTC)
So I'm building a front 14 bolt. I want to build it to the same specs as a full width Ford 60 (same width and pinion location). I figure by the time I buy a $1000 D60 and put new knuckles, C's, Gears, locker and everything else I could have put the $1000 tward buying those parts for my free 14 bolt. The only custom part will be the inner shaft's, the low pinion of the 14 bolt will work to my advantage over the HP Ford and in the long run once its shaved I think it will be a very stout axle. I've been trying to search pirate and google, but I think I'm just getting impacient. I found that 38 inches of total tube (before the C's are installed) fully pressed into the pumpkin will give me a full width result but I will need to get the pinion measurment so I can cut the driver and passenger tubes accordingly while still retaining the 38 inch total tube measurement. Any help or advise is appreciated.

There is a 14 bolt dimension thread over on pirate. I'll buy your spindles and hubs if you don't reuse them. Got a project cooking in my own head {Grin}

On second thought if Rouget your shafts, stock 60 lengths, and spiders you could reverse engineer the tube length. Just a thought.

LOL, you lost me! I got the main measurment I needed off of T-Carps 60 he had for Steph's jeep. The center of the pinion is exactly 14 inces from the outside of the C on the drivers side. Now that I think about it I should have measured the distance from C to C and that will give me my passenger side tube length. Sweet.

If you replace "Rouget" with "you get", it makes sencse and I think thats what you meant. I was confused for a minute. Thanks Scooby Doo!! LOL!

I figured it was some fancy word for putting a yoke on the shaft {Cheesy}
