Right own. Are you using the 4runner frame? Good luck. Hit me up if you need anything. I have had 4 first gen 4runners, so I know my way around one pretty well. Smiley

Well, if this is a build up then tell us what you got. Stock steering? Gears? Dual cases? I see you took your truck apart to bring this thing back to life. Is this going to be a daily driver? And yes, that rear setup is garbage.

Re: my 4runner build (30th Jun 08 at 4:35pm UTC)
wel i got just about everything pulled from the truck.
i just realized too that my suspension set up is for full width.

but what im going to be doing in the build is throwing my 22r motor, w56 tranny and dual t-cases in the runner. then im thinking of getting dana 44's front/rear out of a wagoneer or 60's out of a 1/2 ton chevy, gearing them up and keeping front/rear open until i can afford lockers. bilsteins all around.

i also cut my whole front clip off the truck to put it on the runner.
i cant really think of anything else right now. ill post more up when i get further along with this build.

this is my daily driver so im trying to get this crap done as quick as possible. :jerk you:

You would be better off with the toyota axles. Half ton is crap. Toyota axles are stronger. Im sure everyone is going to say fullwidth, but you dont need it. I wouldnt wast my time unless its a D60. Do you have gears in the axles you have? You need to change that shit on the back anyway. Just set it up toyota. But you do what you want, Thats just my thoughts

Hopefully I'll be able to give my opinion on fullwidths on a DD soon. {Wink}

Ya let me know how that goes. Full width on DD. I thought about doing it too, but most of it up here won't w/out a tight sqweez on the trees.

throw me your input on this:
http://www.truehi9.com/gears2.html
http://www.diamondaxle.com/rear_nonsteering.htm
thought about doing just the rear or maybe both.

My drinking club has a mud bogging problem or is it the other way around?

Hey im not hating. Ive been in yoour shoes before. You said yourself you have never built anything before. Sell your built toyota axles to build fullwidth. I hope you do it and make a bad ass rig. I hope you get it done before the end of this season. Good luck
