Okay..
I bought a new toy and I would like to make it a little easier to pull with my 2007 Classic HD2500 Durarmax?
I have installed the Edge with Attitude. I really like after I had to send it back two times to fix.
Intake?
Exhaust?
Propane or Methane\Water Injection?
Ride-Rite Bags?
Any help would be appreciate.
I have air bags in back of my truck they helped alot when i had my travel trailer, intake and exahust might help with fuel mileage![]()
Since you have a fueling box. youll want to get an intake and exhaust for sure to get cool air in and hot air out faster. Did the fueling box have gauges??
do not do propane, it will only hurt you for towing. Water meth is a last resort if you want cooler egt's and more power. at that point I think motor temp would start to be an issue.
My dodge has lots of goodies for go fast, but they only go so far if the temps start to raise. I want air bags forsure when I get either a gooseneck or a toy hauler. Havent decided which i want yet.
PICS of what you bought.....
I heard dodge made it easier to tow things![]()

Yeah if you would like to sit on a wood bench on the way to the trail. I would go see Mark at Marco Muffler and get an AFE intake. Then maybe we can race. :flipoff:

Could you PM a price on the Stage 2 kit for the LBZ engine?
Which exhaust? I understand some of the differences, but what brand should I stay away from?
Thanks..

Took it out and it was very nice.
Should make the Hammer's and Moab a lot more comfortable.
NICE. I wish the cruiser wasnt so wide in the front. I need rollers to get it in one i think. Pretty much need a trip axel for the heavy turd. But leaning towards a 26-30 bumper pull. And try to add a third axel if it doesnt come with one. Need to shopw around more. Even if i cant get teh cruise rin one i still want one for the dirt bikes and lil jeep for the sand. Nice Ride though
As for exhaust, i really have no idea what to stay away from. youll want at least a 4 inch though and probably a turn down tail pipe to keep that trailer clean

Interesting I didnt know that. We need to talk.
You know what makes Moab easier. Renting a house on the golf course![]()
Lance when are you dragging that thing up to Moonrocks. Been wanting to head up there.

I'm an everything dealer!U tell me what you want. Want an edge juice/att AND an edge evo for your 7.3? According to some people it can keep up w/ the fueling stock and the evo makes the trans real happy.
I'll have some quotes ready monday for ya Lilbronc!
No I just want to change out my k and n. Wnat I really need to do is study up on what 7.3's need to go fast. Cuz its no Cummins thats for sure.
Ive got a DMax too, from what i have read u really dont need a cold air intake unless ur running over 500HP then u might notice a difference. Dont know if its true or not, but everyone on the internet seems to think the same on that.
I would just def get a EGT and Boost gauge, if ur running a chip of any kind.
And as people have said here the air bags do make a difference, i love mine. Exhaust is key! 4" Banks exhaust works great with mine and I got rid of the wanabee cat/exhaust chamber, helps get the hot air out.

Thanks, my edge displays all of the necessary information, so I do not think gauges are needed.
I am going to go with AFE intake and exhaust, turbo back. Then I am going to get some firestone ride-rite bags to help the towing.
Thanks Phil...
I was able to get the intake in and will work on the exhaust this weekend.
no prob.... that's what I'm here for. I want to see some vid of black smoke coming out the bling blang when you're done!!!!!!!!
Im a stock truck your not going to get any mpg out of an intake nor exhaust. You may gain +1-3% mpg because of them when doing both on a chipped/programmed truck. They really only help when ur gettin hot.
Water/meth gives you a +10-15% INCREASE in mpg. 7 gallons of water/meth (-20* window wash fliud) will last 2-3 full tank fulls of diesel and it can be had for less then $2.50 a gallon.

Propane also will INCREASE ur mpg. There is no real numbers persay but you will get better mpg

I have been working and biulding trucks at a shop for 3 years. Now i work for a Heavy duty repair shop and do this as a hobby. If you have any Question pm me or reply here. You can also call the guys i do all my business with:
Diesel Nut Motorsports (916)386-2859, talk to Jacob or Jason.
Well, I got the intake and exhaust in. I can't feel much of a difference, but it doesn't appear to be as restricted. I was happy that it is really not louder than the stock exhaust, just a better sound.
As for injections, I will have to wait and see. That is some coin I really don't want to throw down right now. And I have to finish putting my bio-diesel system together.
Not too many Dmax guys actually hit the limit of the stock injectors. There are some major programs out there that will really make ur truck rip. What bio-diesel system did you get? you make ur own or buy one?
