The High Lakes Trails (20th Feb 08 at 3:13am UTC)
Hey guys and gals, i am from Magalia i dont know if u guys have ever been 4 wheeling at the high lakes but they are trying to close down the trails! The high lakes are a series of lakes such as Morris Lake which is the most challenging lake to access (some fun rock crawling there!). There are a few other lakes that are accessible by vehicles for camping, like Spring Valley lake, Campbell lake, Bear lake, and Long lake (the best camping lake!). I go there every year at the end of October. Beautiful place! Decent wheelin. I go there mainly just to hang out with the guys and just plane camp...and fish.

yea, come on up sometime! the trails are not that intense but there is some good rock crawling at Morris! Saddle was fun and some what challenging, but they closed the trail due to idiots making bypasses around the obstacles. here is what Saddle looks like (my friends old rig) http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n159/GeneralLeeToy/Saddlelake.jpg

I know Ken Knull who started FOHL VERY well. He used to ba a Cal4 president way back in the day. Unlike most of the "old guy" crowd, he respects and supports the younger and more extreme crowd.... If you guys plan a trip, I would like in. (I'll bring a tow-strap for my POS LOL!)

haha i've lived here in chico for almost 6 years and only been riding up there like 3 times....and never even close to the highlakes trails....but I did try to go wheelin' up that way in the snow once ......didnt make it to highlakes then either
