and for state money being spent? The BAR is completely self funded by smog moneys and fines. Nothing is given to them by the state of California, if anything California makes money from the BAR.

I thought it was 98 and newer My 93 6.5 had nothing for smog equipment it was originally a nevada truck but I dont think calif. had any regs on diesels then...

Im not saying there cars are cleaner just saying there air is cleaner.Im sure if you read what i wrote you will understand what a was trying to say. No I wasnt trying to poke holes in what you said just saying extra smog regulations aren't really gonna help the valley much.... and the cleaner car thing was a general question/statement...... And I hate it that Im not just breathing my bad air but all the tree huggers prius's exhaust from the bay too :flipoff:

there has been a big rumor running around that BAR is about to slapped with a lawsuit for interfearing with interstate commerce..and osha has jumped on them as well for there particulate traps for industrial and commercial deisel. they are too big and cause hazards... seems this may come to a hault for a while. lets hope so. on another side of this, i heard about all this right before the economy turned. the second they started pushing it on busniness owners, the economy took a shit.

Conspiracy Therorist!!!!! :flipoff: hahaha JK The industrial industry by far produces more smog I agree but does that mean we should just let cars and trucks pollute whatever they want And even worse Forest Fires are one of the largest producers of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere maybe theses tree huggers should let us thin the forest huh More regs should be lifted off the industrial industry's so that we can actually make it affordable to make things in the USA again, even though they do pollute more, its just necessary for this countries survival.... I mean if we wont China will and they are so its gonna make it into the atmosphere anyway..... and when did the US government become world police and owners of the atmosphere anyway Politicians use global warming agenda to get them into office and line there pockets thats the only reason they care, and I totally think the global warming thing is BS but that doesnt mean we should just puff black smoke from our trucks or not have SMOG regs on cars and trucks... And Prius's are a joke where are we gonna put all these junk batteries when they go bad every 100,000 miles and cost a couple grand to replace how efficient is that I cant tow my rig to the trail with a prius anyway...lol
