| | fj40 NV4500 swap (18th Nov 09 at 8:09am UTC) | | So I decided to swap in an nv4500 in the cruiser. Being a daily driver, I figured the OD would be a plus. The sm420 was a decent tranny but I was tired of the the gear noise and not having one more gear.
So far all I have done is mate the cruiser tcase to the tranny. I'll be installing it as soon as I figure out the strange hydraulic slave cylinder issue. The new setup is 3.5" longer then what I had before.
