Was at diesel training for work today and asked the question about bio, instructor told us that its just not worth the money saved as far as performance. It's generally 5% bio with some alcohol. Less power+your foot on the skinny pedal more= break even on cost of bio vs. diesel no. 2
And bio will freeze/gell a lot quicker of course with freezing temps outside

That is not exactly true. Using the right additives, I have a friend in Reno that has been running it all year round. And 5% bio, is only 5% oils and 95% diesel. Which makes it a joke. I have a processor at home and wanted to do the whole thing, but California laws prohibit me from getting oil unless I directly know someone that can get it to me.

Just my .03

So I received a 5 gallon free coupon in the mail{Confused} Should I use it? Or, burn it? By the time you buy some sort of additive for a few bucks, wouldn't it just even out anyways? Seems like a communist joke to me...

Its just like the ethanol joke. it is 15% less than gas, but you use 30% more fuel to make the same amount of power.
