If anyone here has owned an early 2nd gen dodge, you know the mirrors suck! I couldnt see past my dually fenders at all. Pretty scarry towing a 10 trailer with a slide in camper in the back. I bought these power, fold out tow mirrors off ebay for $261 shipped. They are for a 98.5-02 dodge. So to get them on my 96, I had to change a few things.

Here is the old junk.

Pull the door panel, remove the 3 mounting nuts and unplug the harness.

As you can see the plugs a differend between the new mirrors and the old ones. I cut off the plugs and re soldered them on. Followed by sliding heat shrink over the joints to make it trouble free.

After that, simply install the new mirrors. Fast, easy upgrade. Took about and hour and a half to do both sides. Beer brakes included. {Grin}

That looks great man. They look like those factory one's that I was sellin awhile back. So why was the plug differant you suppose?

Because its originally wired for a heating element attachment. My truck is too old and doesnt have that feature. I could wire up an extra switch in the dash if I really cared.

All I would have to do is mount a swith on the dash and wire them up. We'll see....

Hey Cheeks, do these mirrors have the "bubble" mirror in the corner?

Nevermind, I think I found them on Ebay Says they are for a 98-02. I think they would still fit my 97

I am, but like I was say'in spent the wad on the truck and now gotta keep my funds ready for the end of this month. Headed to Hawaii for some R&R for a few days.

Sell those things bro if you can to anyone else interested. And honestly, only my front two are worn on the edges. But your's are a hell of a price wouldnt mind getting all of them.
Also, if ya know anyone with a front hub cap and a complete spare rim and tire mine's missing.
Here's my new to me turd, killer price though and only 119k miles
