taco solid swap - Posted By jON_P (jonp) on 9th Sep 08 at 9:24pm
hey, so i told a buddy of mine i would help him swap a solid axle under his taco.....he has no experience and this is going to be his first wheeling rig.....since the driveline is out the driver side on his, i've heard a couple ideas to be able to complete the swap.....the one i've mostly considered is to get an older style toyota t-case (like '89-95), swap it in, get the oil pan from a toyota car, and just use a toyota front end (we already have a toyota front end being the main reason)...that way we can get a duel case set up and just cut both holes in the floor instead of the one.......i would love to get some more input, thanks!

I have done one of these, they really suck to do, the steering is kinda a issue because it is rack and pinion, you also want to get a T100 oil pan.
