Had a great time. Its been a while since I wheeled with leaf springs! On the way up Clint lost his throwout bearing on his yj. So I tow strapped him to Jimmys house (at 55mph on the freeway), pulled the tranny and fixed it.  It set us back a few hours but we still all met up and had fun. I want to hit this trail again before it closes.

maybe I'll find this so called plane crash next time...... I knew we should have stayed on trail instead of hiking over a ridge

Sorry I didn't make it . Could of took you straight to the crash site.  The day trip up into Desolation is awesome. I think I hit like 4 or 5 lakes in like two hours of hiking due east of  Barret.

Thats the one I was thinking of. I never hiked up there so I couldnt tell you. Radio told me it was a spy plane that crashed on a training mission. Maybe next time I'll go for a hike.
