I got a call to work saturday at a local dam, like not to far from OV. this was on the news. Its a 42" water line that was opened in the wrong sequence. This is from the vaccum formed after the water tried to flow out without a vent open.

yeah buddy. i get to crawl that bitch inside to inspect it to. they lost 420' of pipe. the gaurds around said it sounded like someone dropped a dumpster off a building.

I remember as a kid running along top and around those pipes looking for rattlesnakes and lizards

of course that was way back before Terrorist scares and shit became off limits I also remember sneaking down to that area in the water just below the dam called felony so we could go fishing but when you were seen the guards at Folsom Prison would run you off

People use to say that it was a felony to be down there, hence the name and that the guards could shoot at you....lol scary shit when your in elementary school!!

the trout fishing is bitchin in the restricted area too.... I use to walk down there off of oak ave on the other side of folsom/auburn on the bike trail and then get to the fence go down near the water and climb the banks as far as I could in and get on the far side of the rock so hopefully the guards would see me.... never got caught though....probably a good thing :kranker:

lead in the paint. on the outside i guess. today was a fawking joy down there. rained like hell, so they built a tent finally then the wind hit and tried to fly us away. man was it fun.

Wow! I work for an industrial paint contractor, and we do pipeline coatings, and I'd never seen anything like that!!! We actually are working over at the Folsom Water Treatment Plant for Preston Pipelines...did they do that? lol.

make sure to get pictures of the pretty new pipe, and the estimated cost of repairs

they wont throw out a cost. jobs long done and that new pipe is only going to be there maybe a year. then the new pipe goes in.

I was out there putting tracks on a komatsu pc 800 and watched them loose a bucket off of a cat 345 down the side of the damn allmost took out one of kiewit's field techs.I have never seen a 3 yd bucket move that fast.
