So while at work last night I got a virus on my lap top. I have tried to download lots of different software to fix it. Everything will download but when i go to run the program a pop up comes up and says error cant run... (something to that effect) its all jacked up. Anyone one know where to take a computer to get fixed or know someone that does it?

I had somethin similar happen. I was able to you fix it myself using youtube. just did some searchin and figured it out, maybe it can help you in the meantime as well.

i was having a download prob too but I added firefox and it went away ?

I second the firefox, been running it for a couple weeks now, zero complaints

GOT it up and running again. rebotted it in (The last known time it was running normal mode) and seems to be fine now... time will tell.

Great.. You can use task manager to see what is going in the back ground. Based on the processes, you can end them and search via the web to see what is causing the programs to run.

haahaha nice find trav im checking it out as i type. SO I checked the tast bar mananger and the virus is still in here... Im thinking this thing is going to the computer shop. Only reason im freaking out is i bought something off ebay and after i entered in my bank info things went crazy and identify theft warnings came up along with all passwords stored could be taken... just lovely@@!@
