Yeah, I've thought about it and still kinda am but I have a few more things to try before I give up on the smog. It just sucks going totally backwards from the original plan, lol. Oh well.

Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By Donkey (norcalzukini) on 19th Jan 11 at 8:56pm
besides the LDP, what else are you missing? Or need to know
Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 19th Jan 11 at 11:22pm
Nothing is missing as of now. I need to replace my fuel filler neck and hose and try again. I have some crap thrown together from when my tank was relocated into the tub. I am gonna try to address that this weekend and try again. If that doesn't fix my problem I may have to throw some serious $$$ into it to make it right. All of the stock lines have been cut and are now reconnected with rubber hose and clamps. I may just replace EVERYTHING. I don't want to but I'm getting desperate...

Just buy a old pre smog jeep tittle
Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 20th Jan 11 at 9:53am
At this point I'll do just about anything.

That sucks man, I have to get mine smogged in Feb and I am worried about it. The smog laws here are kinda crazy.
So is it a visual thing that wont pass or what?
Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 23rd Jan 11 at 10:07pm
no, its a check engine light thing, lol.
Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By BigRob (bigrob) on 25th Jan 11 at 12:52pm
I don't understand you have a 2004 Jeep and everything is still available off the shelf for it and yes i know its not cheap but why would a vehicle so new have such a problem with smog? My 1990 chevy truck still flies right through the smog check, that of course after changing spark plugs and running premium fuel and driving it there after its good and warmed up...lol Hogan i know a guy that might be worth talking to, give me a call
Re: Hmmmmmm.... - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 26th Jan 11 at 11:12pm
The problem is everything was either removed, cut, caught on fire or smashed. Its not that it wont pass the sniffer it just has a check engine light due to a evap leak. I'm piecing it back together but its been hard to chase things down . The biggest problem was the $1400 wiring harness that caught on fire. I ended up rewiring the whole thing myself and so far so good. Next I'm replacing the fuel filler neck and hose since mine is cut to hell from when the fuel tank was in the tub, I think I'm getting a bad seal therefore causing a leak. If that doesn't fix it, on to the next item to replace. I'll figure it out then I can decide wether I want to keep the Jeep or sell it. I'll call ya this weekend Biggie, thanks.

no problem we could go over and talk to my smog guy and see what critical things he can "pass"....
