What do you think of them and would it be worth buying one for the axels for a buggy.

you can get just the axles from a place in vallejo if that is all you after.  it will save you some coin.

By the time you get ddone building one tons you could definitely have a set of mogs.

They're tough enough but pretty funky.  For a full hydro linked buggy it won't be that big of a deal to put them in.  You'll need pinion flanges to get rid of the torque tubes.  You'll need b/p specific wheels no smaller than 17" unless you plan on changing hubs and brakes.

If you plan on doing any major mods to them I suggest skipping it and just doing a 60/14-60-70-etc combo. 

The major mods kill the deal.... you can then have killer one tons for much less.

Thats what i was thinking it would be better off to build some 60's then go through the headache.

i got my mog axles for 1200( one steering one not) the pinion flanges were 200 a piece and there were tons of steel wheels available for a reasonable price... but most were 20 in wheels .  that screws you for tires.  other than that they have gears and lockers ready to go.  i would say its a toss up.

I say go for it. Its cool to be different.

How hard is it to find parts for them though.

easy.  stock parts you get from expedition imports and after market parts are made by several different companies.
