Camping for a week? - Posted By sway (sway) on 12th Jul 09 at 5:54pm
Anyone ever been camping that long? Next month we will be camping for for nine days, four nights in Bodega Bay and four nights in Jenner (bout 15 miles north of BB)

Never been for more the a weekend really, will dry ice keep food good for that long? We just get a block of ice and stick our food (frozzen) in with it for the weekend. Never had to use dry ice, does it keep food frozzen, and for how long?  Anything else I should be thinking of camping that long?

We could always just go back into town after Bodega since its only 30min drive, but didnt want to do that if I didnt have to?

a bunch of us here used to stay at pismo beach for a long time. but we lost our keystone sponsorship and the trips turned into weekends only.

we do it every year we go to JV. Block ice and frozen water jugs work the best.

Block ice works good, but dry ice works badass, especially if you can find the rice kind. It will keep shit cold for days, even with a crappy cooler;)

Are you tent camping, or camper camping, or campground camping??

I took my wife, before we were married, camping for a week, but we went from Bend Oregon, to Crater Lake, to Cresent City,CA. And after a below freezing night at Crater Lake, we spent a night at a Motel to shower up, and defrost;)

All in all it was fun, but it was far from 9 straight days in a tent, and no trips to the store;)

It will be all tent camping, but both sites have showers.  As far as it being cold, we got some kick ass sleeping bags for our wedding. Last time on the con people were cold and we were sweating in them, best gift we ever got!

theres acouple places in jenner to get ice to refill a cooler so wouldnt worry about it that much. wouldnt have to drive far anyway
