The good: I got a cabin at Robbs next to the bar, and I will be there for 3 nights.
The Bad: I got the wife and kids in tow.
We will also be having an FOE booth in the spillway.
I am HOPING you guys will camp at Loon and just do days runs so I can drink with you guys at night.....

First off, you should be going to the Cantina to help generate $$ for the Rubicon Trail Foundation, regardless if they pissed you off or not. It has become the largest fund raiser for RTF and it helps to keep the trail open. TDO deserves much respect for that.
Secondly, I know a good number of the TDO guys personally, and they are ALL real good people. IMO, I can't see one of them being a jerk-off to you...

well to be honest the guy working the entrance/parking lot last cantina was a fuc*in idot not sure if he was just workin with you guys or a member
i pull up to my trailer in two wheel drive put one tire on it with alittle momentum and get out walk over to get some tacos and the guy gose i sure hope thats your truck , i said yes it is , he said it better be , and i turned around and said well what if its not ? he replies your one of the asshole thats causes problems down he so to avoid confrontation i walked off and ate , after eating i hoped in my truck to go see some friends leaveing above the spillway and he yells out you are an asshole i turned around hoped out and showed him my fuckin key fit the god dam door to shut old fucker up
so i sure hope he aint there this weekend and noone will be unfortunate to have to deal with him
other than that the rest of you guys have been pretty cool

So some guy... that can't be identified yelled at you, but it's our whole club's fault? To clarify, this happened in the parking lot? Where was this person at? Damn near every single TDO member would have had a TDO shirt on. There are so many people coming and going it's hard to say if it was even one of us, a volunteer, or just a random person.
Just to portray the other side of things, we saw a few fawktard's driving like asshats last year. One guy in particular pulled up to the taco stand in his yota at mach nine making people scatter and proceeded to treat everyone like shit. Maybe you came through after that and someone over-reacted?

I can't really say anything negative since all of you are good people in my book!! I'm sure Hengl and Baggy are over it and were just getting what happened off their chest since it was a year ago and they have never said a word about it. I am pretty sure I know who hengl was talking about and its not relevant to point that guy out anymore. As far as baggy goes it was some TDO members ( he says) who told him he was off the trail and proceeded to take his picture and said they were going to turn him in, That would piss anyone off, especially if they have that outlook on the situation and its not really what it looks like.....

Only you knew if you were off the trail or not. I got my ass chewed by Glenn and Timbo from the Pirates a couple of years ago because I pulled off trail on some bushes to let a group pass. I was embarrassed at the time because I new better. I had it coming and I consider both those guys friends.

Well hopefully the basic "Parking" plan we (The Creepers) have will help to keep traffic moving and frustrations at a minimum. It is a tough task trying to put some order to a cluster F$%#'d situation. Add in flowing booze and testosterone and I'm not sure success is entirely achievable, but we'll give it a shot.
Essentially we hope to keep two lanes and a full turn-a-round clear using cones and caution tape at the splillway so traffic can better flow in and out. I'm sure at peak times flow will slow regardless of our efforts. Also, we are doing some signage to incourage parking at the parking area next to the Chalet. We'll post a Spillway Parking lot Full sign at the beginning of the last damn when the Spillway is full. Outside of the caution tape/cones in the spillway area parking will still be random/unmarked and everyone will be parking at there own risk...relative to theft/damage etc...like normally. We will do the best we can and are hoping for basic cooperation like getting close to the next vehicle and respecting the no parking areas. Without cooperation, it will be hard to succeed.
If anyone has a beef with me I will be up there this weekend. It was a long time ago. And is old news.

The direction this thread has gone is unfortunate. I don't care who you are...we all have been "that guy" one time or another on the trail or in everyday life for that matter. This is a community and all communities have issues. But the great thing about a community is it's ability to come together for a common goal. The Cantina is a unique opportunity for us wheelers to show our solidarity and commitment to support the Rubicon Trail and OHV activities in general. Infighting and dissent only spreads cancer amongst us. I ask that we impose an Olympic style truce during this event and show everyone that we can play nice and have a good time.
Cooler surfing is just part of the fun!!!!
