So I moved my rig out of the driveway yesterday, it ran for like 2 min. then I went to restart it about 20 min later and the motor seized as the starter was trying to crank it over (it never fired). {Rolleyes}

1. I thought the oil pick up fell of and was jammed between the crank and the pan, it would spin in reverse, just not forward
2. pulled the pan, everything looks OK, no spun bearings.. etc
3. pulled the 3 easily accessible plugs and then crank it back and forward by hand
4. water comes out passenger exhaust
5. keep cranking and water comes out drivers side bank in to the crank case

so I think it could either be a cracked block, cracked intake, or both head gaskets happen to blow on a cold motor at the exact same time and hydro lock my motor, well maybe it could be both intake gaskets blew the same time also…

regardless im going to start to pull down the top end tonight, let me know if u have any ideas, it a 95 LT1 {Cry}

shit man... I hope it's just a head and gasket swap for ya. I'll get to looking for a long block just in case.

Thanx Phil… I was thinking about it though, and if the head gasket blew it is possible that 1. the water was running out the left exhaust, and 2. the water is running in the valley of the motor to the right bank. So I guess it is possible that only on head gasket blew, which makes a whole lot more sense.

I guess ill find out soon.. id be pissed if we missed memorial weekend

I guess its a bad week for the small blocks. I blew the 350 in the wifes jeep the other day. It took out the the crank and 2 pistons bottomed out on the heads. $1500 later....hehehehehe!

ouch... im not going to complain about $150 for gaskets then, i think that this crap only happens to people that work on stuff, it never seem to happen to the asians at my work that cant screw in a light bulb

i just spent 279.31 and i got my crank kit, gasket kiy, 10quts of oil, 2 oil filters and some assy lube {Tongue Out} its all most time to go home and start putting this 22re back together :kranker:
