i have cheeks old fuel cell and i need to fix the leak before j.v. it leaks at the top were the rubber gasket is at, and no parts stores in sac sell anything like that nore do they want to help me find something that will work to fix this
any ideas?

i did what travis suggested, call summit they will sell the individual parts for fuel cells.

gonna have to buy a new fuel cell . or find out the manufacturer and give them a jingle .

ask Desmon Ryan Hutton , he just bought the exact same one from sumit , talk to him find out who makes the fauken thing, call the maker , order a new gasket , and politely ask Des if you can take his and he can have the new one when it comes in :thumbsup:
his cell is brand new and hasn't even been mounted yet and i don't think he is in any hurry .

thanks for all the input guys, but i fixed it with a motorcycle tube. i did some homework on line and found it is the same stuff that the gasket is made outof . thanks for all the help

it's not our fault that the people we borrow our parts from don't like to wheel as much as us
other wise we wouldn't be able to borrow it they would be using it already

Kranker it is a generic part used for most fuel cells. I just replaced mine last year because it was leaking too. You can also RTV the shit out of the one you have or get some generic gasket material, but summit has them. I cannot beleive T-garden or Tog's doesn't have one instock!


If I remeber right you need part number SUM-290001 from summit, it was like $5.00 it is the 6 hole model..

i think his is like 8 bolt ?

Wow a lot of talk over a little leak. All you had to do was call me and I would have told you its a 15 gallon RCI tank. Oh well, I guess Im that guy.
