not the same for the front axles almost all are 35 spline inners with pussy little 30 spline outters , some inners are necked down too ,
I found a rear dana 60 out of a 79 F-250 for $300 and as far as I know it's complete. Is there anything I should look out for and is it a good deal? Thanks.
yes that is not a very good deal p n pull sells them for less than that and rear 60s are a dime a dozen , so look for a rear 70 or atleast a 60 out of a 1 ton truck but more importantlly pull an axle shaft and count the splines (you want 35

go with a 9" hogan. lighter,you can shave more and currie housing are cheap if you cant find one in your dads backyard

Yeah fuck that guy!! I just sold the Currie 9 I had to my Grandpa.... But it was from my camaro and went into his. I mostly want to build a front HP60 axle because my axle now will be my weak link but I'm oppen for opinions on the rear. I'd love to run a 9 inch, gear swaps would be a snap!!!! I'm also down to run full width. This isn't something I'm doing next week but it would't hurt to look around now and get some ideas. Like I said I just want something to build. I'm not working two jobs and overtime for nothing!
