Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 25th Mar 09 at 4:18pm

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By HOGAN (hogan) on 25th Mar 09 at 4:19pm
ps. What tires did you get{Confused}

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By kranker (kranker) on 25th Mar 09 at 4:19pm
what about KMC's. and yes the tires i am picking up will need a 17in wheel Smiley

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By GOODBY (goodby) on 25th Mar 09 at 4:23pm
I got KMC's and there pretty good. I did pop some inner beads down at the hammers on the first trip, But I think it might be because the tires are brand new.

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By bkizzle (bkizzle) on 25th Mar 09 at 6:48pm
Trailreadys are nice but spendy 1300-1400 17in steel and probably 1800 plus in aluminum, theres more backspacing choices with the steelies too, I priced them a couple months ago before I got the 38's but they were 15in so I just ran the reverse wheels that were on em', next set is gonna be 17's with beadlocks 4sure

Racelines? Just saw a set the other day. NIce looking wheel.

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By k5chevyblazer (k5chevyblazer) on 25th Mar 09 at 9:23pm
I have had Trail Readys for about 8 years and they work awesome. only one barely leaks. example: drops 10 psi sitting in 6 months. would buy again in a heartbeat.

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By BMFNTOY (bmfntoy) on 25th Mar 09 at 9:45pm

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By BMFNTOY (bmfntoy) on 26th Mar 09 at 7:36am

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By kranker (kranker) on 26th Mar 09 at 8:14am

I REALLY wish I could help you out Aaron, but unfortunately, the pricing I got was a 1 time deal, that's why I jumped at it.....sorry bro! {Unsure}

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By T-CARP (admin) on 26th Mar 09 at 6:21pm
You don't want the racelines Aaron I have heard bad stuff bout them, I have steel racelines and they are garbage. Get some TR's or at least some walker evans

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By bigbadjeepster (bigbadjeepster) on 26th Mar 09 at 6:53pm
why are they garbage? You had them on your rig for how long? Anyways, I have the TR's on my cruiser and love them. The commando has the DIY locks. They are OK I guess, heavy and ugly but get the job done. Plus, if I bend one just smack it back with a hammer.

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By T-CARP (admin) on 26th Mar 09 at 6:56pm
I have heard alot of stories about the aluminum ones cracking where the lugs are, mine have never held air very well, and bend very easy

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By bigbadjeepster (bigbadjeepster) on 26th Mar 09 at 6:58pm
gotch ya. Mine leak on the inner beads. I bought some special glue to stick them to the rim better. Hope to get it done before the hammers.

don't bother w/ the glue. break the inner bead... grind the inner bead contact surfaces down to bare metal. squirt a little water in the tire. make sure the bead is clean, then seat the bead again. keep it aired up to around 20psi until you get to the hammers. rust lock will likely have a hold on it. I'm not joking at all. it's been around since mike ladd at TTC 1999

Well the ones I have, have steel inserts in the lug holes for extra strength {Wink}

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By T-CARP (admin) on 26th Mar 09 at 10:09pm

Pick up some cheap black steel wheels and get weld on bead locks. I spent $425 total for wheels and bead locks. With the money you save get another set of wheels and tires for the street!

not a bad idea but the jeep is not a every day driver and i dont want to store the other set of wheels and tires. the jeep is more like a back up car. you know incase the honda breaks down {Grin}

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By bkizzle (bkizzle) on 27th Mar 09 at 10:00am
I thought you were selling the honda{Confused} and making the jeep a driver/wheeler..... I still say run the trailreadys there a great wheel, I perfer steel but love the look of aluminum, and if you want the flash I'll have to agree with hogan and say get what you want and run the stauns

Re: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Posted By kranker (kranker) on 27th Mar 09 at 10:25am
the honda is for sale but i have something else lined up {Grin}
