Okay, my Dedenbear knuckles came in today I am getting ready to install them. Can I switch them around so that the steering arm in on the back side. Switch the driver and passenger sides?
I would like to run a longer bolt through the high steer arm and the arm on the knuckle.
Also, anyone know how to add pucks to a double ended ram? I was reading that that could cause future problems with knuckles breaking.
Thanks..
Hmmm where have I seen that before?

Oh yea mine are like that! Yup switch em side to side

Alright, alright...
So, there is no difference. That is good. Should make the steering knuckles stronger.
How about the RAM?

Well I was waiting for you to get me a set. Apparently, you did catch enough crab to pay for them.
Solids were way to expensive and I want to get ready for Moon Rocks.
what ever![]()
now put the front on jack stands and turn the wheel lock to lock.
What stops first the ram or the knuckle ?
sorry it was a shity season didn't meat the quota or get oour bonusand went waaayy out of buget , the captain is pissed
. also the green horn mikey left a couple pods![]()
The Knuckle but I do not have any room for exterior stops. I would have to measure but I don't think the stops would have to be that big.
Who can install internal stops?
, they don't have to be internal , duh
or grind down the stops on the knuckle so it turns better![]()
make sure the axle joints don't bind though![]()

Maybe if it turns better I can keep up with you....
External stops, I don't have the room. Due to the clearance of the ram and the axle. Unless, I am overseeing something. Which is very possible,
Turning more just means breaking more things.
isn't there heims that thred into the end of the double endded ram ?
good luck keeping up with us :flipoff:

Yes, I have heims that thread in to both sides of the link that connects to the high steer. What could I do with that? I could possibly put something so that can hit the stop. But, the Ram shaft has only about 1/2" of clearance from the axle.
Are you thinking that I could use an external shaft and have something that fits there to hit the stop?
no just stick spacers over the end of the shaft so it bottoms out on the spacers

Where can I get spacers? Can I make them out of something?
I will definitely try that. Thanks, Hengel.

idon't know plastic aluminum . get crafty , and dam it H E N G L![]()
good night
"Damn" it HENGLICA :flipoff:
I knew I screwed up when I tried to spell without looking...
Sorry, I owe you a beer.
Now I must go back to the garage and fix my POS.
Well, I got my knuckles on and they can not switch sides unless I cut the arm off. The brake piston hit the arm.
Then I bolted every thing down and went to turn the knuckle and it seems to be very tight.
How tough should it be to move the knuckle from stop to stop![]()
Then I can take measurements for my stops.
How tough should it be to turn my knuckles?
They should turn pretty easily, I kept having the same problem and the bottom bearing was offset a little
are you using the shim/washer on top or the spring ?
and did you gusset your Cs
and did you gusset your Cs
No, should I do that? They are the equal distance on both sides, right now.

I will double check. The bearing seemed to go in nicely and the plate was easy to bolt in. Thanks.

Yes, I had a couple spacers on the old setup. I took them out and is is still tight. There is a piece that allows the spacers to go in could come out and turns nicely. But I thought it was required either way but see no reason why it has to be there.

yes i bent my left side c together alittle , straightened it and gusseted , i recomend it if you have it already apart because now that is the weekest link, with full hydro and strong knuckles now when it trys to turn when bound the nylon cone forces the upper C down and could lead to BIG problems if the C fails
Thanks.
I will get some gusset and try to get that finished before Moon Rocks.
i think i got a new camp trailer , not quit the size of yours though

My trailer compensates for my lack of wheelin'.
is it lack of wheelin , or skill of driving? :flipoff:
