I started off with a 1958 CJ-5 with 1/2 ton chevy axles, 5.13 gears, welded rear and open front, worn out 39 boggers, with a Chevy 350 -> SM420 -> Dana 20 and 96" wheelbase.

Thanks to Sillyfab I now have a Dana 60 up front with ARB, 14 bolt in the rear with Detroit, 4.56 gears, 42" Iroks on beadlocks, Dana 300 t-case, now at 108 wheelbase.
Phil did an awsome job with this!!! Next up is linking the front,a rear stinger, maybe some nice flat fenders, hydro-assist steering and anything else crazy Phil can think of.

I will be following Phil and Sarah in this weekend into the Rubicon. See you all there!!
Looks killer and it sure looks like the leafsprings are working very well to me.....![]()
Im diggin the rig! Nice job Phil.
One thing though, dont count on that steering box brace too much, make sure the mount is beefed up.

yea... the front box mount is sketchy at best. when I tear the front end down and redo the frame I'll make that uber beef... and it'll have some psc love on it as well.
he's gonna take it easy this weekend and have fun. If anything fails up there we'll just burn it back together 1/2 ass'd cause it's all going away soonworks great now though!
So it got a makeover along with all the work that Phil did. Thanks Sillyfab!![]()
Also got a new driver...just for the day.![]()

quite the change in such a short time. Looks good dude!
looking good justin-
even new paint...![]()
Rig looks great! Not normally a huge jeep fan but you built a nice rig!
Just picked up a TBI engine, finally!
what was in it before/now?Just picked up a TBI engine, finally!
350 with truck avenger carb which actually did very well.
Out with the old, in with the new!
TBI engine is in with newer clutch and serpentine setup.
Just plumbed the fuel lines using Earl's fittings and damn those things are expensive! I also get a new fuel cell with sump and sending unit. Finally I will have a gas gauge!!
I just need to clean up the wires, cut a hole in the firewall, mount computer, mount the fuel cell and cut a hole the floor for the sump, wire and install fuel pump and filter, fuel gauge, then turn the key and see if it starts!
Wish me luck!
After that over to Phil for the engine cage flanges and possibly exhaust.
Hopefully I will be ready to wheel by next weekend.
It's alive!
Finally almost done with the TBI motor swap. I did the wiring myself utilizing binderplanet.com, very easy!
I also swapped in some celica seats and a fancy new fuel cell.
Off to Phil's this week for exhaust and then shes all ready!

sweet. you comin to the hammers?
cute air filter.![]()
Haha, that's what came with it I tried to swap everything I had onto it but nothing would work. I will figure something out!.
What are the exact dates for the Hammers? When is everyone around here leaving and coming home?
Well done.
So is your vent on your fuel cell your new return line? If so what are you going to use for a vent?
there is no vent in there, I have to put a one way vent in. I can use that for the return or the second output in the sump. I just purchased a tip over valve vent to install in it.
Still poppin a little but almost got it dialed in, hopefully.
PS pump is squealing like a bitch though. It shouldn't be bad, worked perfect on the other setup.
Any ideas?
assumin you bled the system -
siphon a bit out, buy the 9$ lucas PS treatment and pour it in.
yea, just figure I have to keep repeating the bleed process until it stops.
spend the 9 bucks. it works.
Nothin really new, just left he Nobama compound.

ramp champ!![]()
Bump stops in the front and rear, straps, Bilstiens all around, wheel wells cut to make more room for the seats, seat bars, door opening cage bars, a sick addition to the cage, and a crazy rack!!!! More pictures to come once I get it painted this weekend. I still have the rear disc brake conversion to do too.
Of course, thanks to Phil at SillyFab for the best fab work the greater Sacramento area has to offer!! I hope to see you all on the trail this year!

It tilts up to get at everything, def gonna help. With your back seat taken out you have a ton of room! Mine is like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag!

The UPS man just dropped off a present, well 2 of them.

Hahaha I sold it to fund the Dana 400...I mean 300

Got the Dana 300 with 4 to 1 LoMax, HD front and rear output, and twin sticks. Thanks to Cheeks for helping me put it together. Just need the short side Chromo to get everything in. I am probably gonna dump the 300 in within 2 weeks.
Also plan on having SillyFab build a dual battery box, move the brake pedal, redesign the rear bumps and box the rear part of the frame. I need to also change out the bushings in the rear springs.
