It's taken 6 years to get this rig built! Finally, this year will be the year she makes an appearance![]()
This is what I started with...hey she was free! Free is good, especially when you are on a tight budget!

WOW...that looks awesome  Cant wait to see it in person. You must be so excited![]()
Thanks guy's..
The front is rebuilt and painted! This project is really wearing on us. I think by the time we get to camp next weekend, we'll sleep most of the time :kranker:
Here is Eric's version of our weekend...
Long weekend.. still not driving as I had hoped. That means if there are any large issues that pop up, this weekend will be in jeopardy.
I always forget how many small pieces these things have. At the end of each day there are less parts on the floor/shelf/box 'o parts. Perry and Alfred gave a hand on Friday and Alfred and Lisa again today.
Ran into plenty of issues to overcome and ran out of energy.
But it's getting closer.
D60 is done except teh drive flanges need some mods and missing some snap rings
Hydro steer linkage is 100% ready for some power
Hydro lines done, except the one I didn't buy hose for (or cant find...I dunno)...going with a plan "B" until correct line comes in.
Rear driveline is in, front has some issues, waiting for a special seal and I need to talk to STaK about the front output preload.
trans tunnel is done and ready for install
finished the mods on the front seats
headlites work
made progress on the belly pan
exhaust is done and ready for install
cant wait to get on the trail so I can take a nap.
Keep it up. Shes looking good
Tied up a lot of loose ends today... not driving still, but the exhaust sounds good. motor has what sounds like lifter noise.. hopefully just from sitting so long...Oil press is OK, but no radiator yet to run for long periods.
This was taken last night...No way to shift gears except underneath (shifter was not in yet) and no breaks. But we needed to see if it drove. We are doing some last minute adjustments this morning..
I apologize in advance for my goofy ass screaming like a girly...I have waited along time for this moment:thumbsup: :kranker:!!
Mov'n under it's own power.... AWESOME! ! ! ! !
hope you guys have fun this weekendlooks good
SWEET!!!
Time to wrap up the build...finally :kranker:

Looks like the next build might be a cooler rack!! Looks like you guys were going for a week long stay hahahaha
Oh and I don't know about that sticker on the front![]()
1:Jen was not real keen on driving it much,, the brakes aren't what they should be yet.. but they do work.
2:We have a trailer to go behind her to haul more crap and free up the back seat for kids
3:nobody kicked down the Zombie stickers
Well, its time to move this rig from "project" status to "Trail Rig" status.
Is it done? No, they never are, but the current list of issues could be a lot longer that it is. Overall, I'm very happy with most of it... we had to pull some hack stuff to get it done tho.
This project would not have been possible without the help of a lot of people, both recently and over the last few years. Thank You,...
